Frequently Asked Questions

What is your book about?

God’s Path: From Siberia to the United States is the story of my life—from being abandoned at birth in a Siberian hospital, to being adopted and brought to the United States, to facing years of physical, emotional, and spiritual struggles. But more importantly, it's about how God was present in every part of my story, even when I couldn’t see it at the time. The book traces a path from trauma to transformation, and from despair to deep faith. It’s my personal testimony of how God’s grace turned suffering into strength, abandonment into purpose, and silence into a voice of hope for others.

What inspired you to write this book?

The inspiration came from both an inner calling and the encouragement of others who heard pieces of my story. For years, I kept a lot of my pain private—I didn’t think anyone would understand, or even care. But I realized that my silence was holding back something God wanted to use. I wanted to show people that you can rise from abandonment, trauma, and confusion, and come out the other side stronger, with purpose. I wrote this book not to focus on the hardships, but to reveal how God worked in the background the entire time. I believe our stories can be someone else’s survival guide. That’s why I finally sat down and wrote it all out—honestly and prayerfully.

Who is the book for? Who do you hope will read it?

This book is for anyone who has ever felt lost, unloved, or unsure of their place in the world. It’s for people who carry wounds they don’t talk about, or who feel like their past disqualifies them from having a future. It’s especially for adoptees, trauma survivors, and anyone wrestling with their identity or faith. But more broadly, it’s for any person searching for evidence that God is real, that He heals, and that He never wastes our pain. I hope both people of faith and those who are still searching will find something in my story that helps them keep going.

What message do you hope readers take away from it?

That God is always working, even when it feels like He’s silent. That your past doesn’t define you—God does. And that even if you were rejected by people, you are still chosen by God. I want readers to understand that suffering is not the end of the story. In fact, it can be the very beginning of a redemption arc greater than anything they imagined. No one is too broken to be healed, too lost to be found, or too far gone to be used by God.

Can you tell us a little about yourself?

I was born in Tyumen, Russia, where I was abandoned as a baby. I spent the beginning of my life in an orphanage until I was adopted and brought to Kansas. Growing up in the U.S., I faced a lot of emotional challenges and health issues, including serious surgeries and battles with self-worth. Today, I live a stable, faith-filled life that I once never thought possible. Outside of work and writing, I’m passionate about aviation and even run a YouTube channel where I share real-time flight experiences. Most importantly, I’m a Catholic who has seen God’s hand in places where I once only saw pain.

Was it hard to write such a personal story?

Yes—immensely. Writing this book meant reopening old wounds and revisiting parts of my life I had tried to bury. There were moments I had to stop and cry, or step away from the keyboard because the emotions were too heavy. But I also found healing in the process. Naming my pain, surrendering it to God again, and shaping it into a message of hope was transformative. It took bravery and prayer. It wasn’t just a writing project—it was a spiritual journey.

How has your faith shaped your journey?

My Catholic faith is the cornerstone of everything. There were seasons where I was angry at God or confused by what He was allowing, but I always found myself being drawn back to Him. My faith didn’t remove the pain, but it gave it purpose. I’ve learned that faith doesn’t mean life is easy—it means you’re never walking through it alone. The more I’ve leaned into God, especially through the sacraments and Scripture, the more peace and clarity I’ve found. Faith turned my survival into testimony.

Are you working on anything else now? Any plans for future books?

Yes, I have ideas. While this book told the story of my past, I’d love to write more in the future about what it means to live with purpose and peace now—after the healing. I also want to explore topics like forgiveness, identity in Christ, and emotional healing through faith. For now, I’m focused on sharing God’s Path with as many people as I can, but I do feel like God is calling me to keep writing.

How has the Catholic community supported you?

The Catholic community has given me so much—through prayer, encouragement, and simply listening without judgment. I’ve had priests, friends, and fellow believers support this book and remind me that telling our stories is a form of evangelization. The Church has always taught the power of witness, and I hope this book becomes part of that greater mission.
